ABOUT
Sam Eifert (b. 2004) is a composer and percussionist living in Cincinnati, Ohio. An eclectic mix of Jazz, Rock, Contemporary, and other genres characterizes his music. Sam recently graduated with a B.M. in Music Composition from Miami University in Ohio under the guidance of Per Bloland, Phillip Roberts, and Susanna Hancock. Sam also completed a Minor in Arts Management and Entrepreneurship. Sam will be pursuing his Master’s in Music Composition at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) beginning in the Fall of 2026.
He has collaborated with several ensembles, including Unheard-of, Yarn/Wire, and concertnova. Sam received performances at the 2025 Vibraphone Project Festival, the 2026 Heidelberg New Music Festival, the Miami University Percussion Ensemble, and with visiting ensembles from the Miami University Composition Department.
Outside of college, Sam has a passion for teaching and is currently with several high schools as a Marching Band Percussion Instructor, including Centerville High School and Sycamore High School. He is also teaching with two former groups that he marched with, Cincinnati Tradition and ConneXus, for the 2026 DCI and WGI seasons.
Sam is also an avid performer in the marching arts with several world-class ensembles, including Cincinnati Tradition, ConneXus, The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps, and Rhythm X.
